Is Public Liability insurance compulsory?

No, while its not compulsory, it’s strongly recommended to protect your business from legal and financial liability if someone is injured or property is damaged due to your operations.

Who is eligible for ECICS Personal Accident (Senior) Insurance?

The Insured Person must be: - a resident of Singapore who is permanently residing in Singapore; and - between 40 and 75 years old (both inclusive) at the time of application.

How can I redeem my benefits?

For details on how to redeem your benefits, please refer to the steps outlined above in the main section and perform the redemption HERERedemption steps:a. Download the Charge+ App b. Sign up for a Charge+ account c. Visit google form link in the Charge+ Promotion Page and indicate your chosen redemption option. Do note that the mobile number used to sign up for the Charge+ account must be the same number used to sign up for the Qualifying Policy.d. Your benefit will be activated in your account within approximately 8 weeks upon fulfilling the eligibility conditions.

If I make a claim, will I automatically lose my NCD?

If there is a claim made under the policy, your NCD will be reduced as follows. Private Car Current NCD NCD after 1 Claim 50% 20% 40% 10% 30% and under 0% Motorcycle/Commercial Vehicle Current NCD NCD after 1 Claim 20%/15%/10% 0%

My FDW’s age is 61 years old, can I still renew her policy?

The eligibility criteria states that the insured FDW must be between 23 and 60 years old at the time of application. This means that individuals outside of this age range may not qualify for coverage under the insurance policy.

What is the difference between Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) and Hospital & Surgical Expenses?

• Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) cover medical bills for outpatient treatments that arise solely from Accident. For example, your FDW accidentally scalds her hand while cooking and requires dressing for the burn.• Hospital & Surgical Expenses cover inpatient medical bills for treatments related to both accidents and illnesses.

Why is the policy not exactly 12 or 24 months?

The coverage period for our Enhanced MaidAssure is 14 months or 26 months with the additional 2 months included as mandated by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in case the FDW overstays in Singapore after her work permit expires.

Is there any coverage for Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Illness)?

Yes, we offer it as an optional add-on that covers outpatient medical expenses for illness that does not require hospitalisation. This benefit can cover up to $60 per visit, helping to ensure your FDW’s health needs are taken care of without added financial strain.

When will the Security Bond be transmitted to MOM?

New and transfer maid policies purchased:• within 14 days before the effective date,MOM’s record will be updated within 3 working days after the policy purchase date• more than 14 days before effective date,MOM’s record will be updated within 14 days before policy start dateRenewal maid policy:• MOM’s record will be updated within 3 working days after the policy purchase date.Please check the MOM portal and ensure that the electronic transmission to MOM is completed before your FDW arrives in Singapore. Failure to do so will result in the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority denying her entry, and she will be sent back to her home country.

Do you offer NCD Protector for Motorcycle insurance?

Yes, ECICS motorcycle insurance policy comes with complimentary No Claim Discount Protector. It is free for our customers as long as you have NCD 10% and above.

If I sell my private car, will I get any refund?

If you sell your private car, you may inform us to cancel your policy. You can submit the request at customerservice@ecics.com.sg or call our mainline at +65 6206 5588 (Mon - Fri excluding Public Holiday, 8:30am - 6:00pm). Your Private Car policy refund is calculated according to the cancellation clause in your policy wording subject to no claims made against your policy.

What is a No Claim Discount Protector (NCDP)?

A No Claim Discount Protector protects your NCD on renewal and allows you to make a claim under your policy without affecting your NCD. Without it, your NCD will be reduced should a claim be made under your policy.

What happens if the policy is cancelled?

The moment the policy has lapsed/ceased, the Family NCD benefit will likewise cease. All earned Family-NCD will be forfeited. However, we understand that there could be various reasons why customers may temporarily not own a car therefore do consult us to see how we can help.

Why is it important to make an accident report?

The accident report will provide us with the necessary information should there be any claims made against you for the accident. Failure to report the accident may result in you handling and settling any claims on your own.

Do I need to report to the police for all motor accidents?

You will only need to report to the police under the following circumstances:Damage to Government vehicle or propertyAccident with a foreign registered vehicleA Hit and Run accidentVehicle is stolen or vandalisedVehicle caught fireAccident involving a Pedestrian, Cyclist or Personal Mobility Device (PMD) usersA Malaysian police report is required if the accident happened in Malaysia.
