A Foreign Worker Bond (commonly known as security bond) is a commitment to reimburse the government if either you or your foreign worker violates or fail to adhere to the terms and conditions of the work permit. This bond typically takes the form of a banker's or insurer's guarantee. For each non-Malaysian Work Permit holder you employ, you are required to purchase a $5,000 security bond.
In the event of an accident involving your registered vehicle, your insurer for your motor insurance policy must have paid out a claim amount higher than your policy excess in order for you to seek reimbursement on the excess you have paid from your ECICS Motor Excess Protector Insurance Policy. If the claim amount paid out is lower than your policy excess, you will not be able to seek reimbursement from your ECICS Motor Excess Protector Insurance Policy.
Yes, ECICS Motor Excess Protector Insurance covers Named Driver, Unnamed Driver or Young, Inexperienced or Elderly Excess. It does not cover excess for windscreen, sunroof or moonroof.

You will need to cancel her work permit to stop your levy and ensure that you keep a copy of her travel ticket or departure itinerary as proof. MOM will proceed to discharge the Security Bond after verifying that your FDW has left and did not re-enter Singapore. Upon discharge, you may proceed to request for policy cancellation.

For example, your FDW accidentally scalds her hand while cooking and requires dressing for the burn.• Hospital & Surgical Expenses cover inpatient medical bills for treatments related to both accidents and illnesses.
No, you do not need to pay $5,000 upfront to MOM as we act as a guarantor by issuing a Letter of Guarantee to MOM on your behalf. However, if you or your FDW breaches any of MOM’s rules or conditions, MOM may forfeit the bond and demand for payment from ECICS. In such cases, we will seek recovery of the amount from you.
All riders need to be named in the policy. Unnamed riders are not covered.
Yes, it is illegal to use a vehicle in Singapore without a valid insurance cover. At a minimum, you must have third-party insurance, which covers injury or damage caused to other people and their property.

Please repair your windscreen at an ECICS Authorised Workshop. Call the workshop of your choice and they will help you file your claim and advise you accordingly. Click HERE for a copy of the Windscreen claim form.If the windscreen claim is of criminal or vandalism-related, a police report must be made. A copy of the police report must be submitted to your choice ECICS Authorised Workshop.
Yes, so long as the driver has a valid driving license and fulfils our underwriting criteria as named driver, you can purchase this plan and add them as a named driver in the Comprehensive Family NCD Builder Plan.
Unnamed Driver refers to someone who is not named under a private car policy.
Most insurers in Singapore will allow you to keep your NCD should there be a break in vehicle ownership for up to 24 months. Some insurers set the timeframe at 12 months. You should contact your insurer for details.
