What do I do if my vehicle is not drivable?

You may call our 24-hour helpline at +65 6206 5588 (option 9) to have your vehicle towed or alternatively you may call our Authorised Workshops in the list.

Do I still need to pay $5,000 to MOM when I’ve already purchased the Security Bond?

No, you do not need to pay $5,000 upfront to MOM as we act as a guarantor by issuing a Letter of Guarantee to MOM on your behalf. However, if you or your FDW breaches any of MOM’s rules or conditions, MOM may forfeit the bond and demand for payment from ECICS. In such cases, we will seek recovery of the amount from you.

When will the Foreign Worker Bond be discharged?

The Foreign Worker Bond will only be discharged if: - the work permit is cancelled; and - the worker has returned home; and - you did not breach any of the conditions of the Foreign Worker Bond.

What should I expect after pre-purchasing a new policy in advance?

You will receive an email containing the policy documents when you have successfully purchased ECICS Enhanced Maidassure policy. New and transfer maid policies purchased:• within 14 days before the effective date,MOM’s record will be updated within 3 working days after the policy purchase date• more than 14 days before effective date,MOM’s record will be updated within 14 days before policy start dateRenewal maid policy:• MOM’s record will be updated after MOM sends you the work permit renewal notice. We will send you another email once the bond is successfully transmitted to MOM. Please check the MOM portal and ensure that the electronic transmission to MOM is completed before your FDW arrives in Singapore. Failure to do so will result in the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority denying her entry, and she will be sent back to her home country.As the work permit may not be due for renewal yet, the security bond will only be transmitted to MOM

When can I renew my road tax?

ECICS will be transmitting the details of your Private Car Policy to LTA upon successful enrolment within 3 business days. Please contact our mainline if you require support to urgently submit to LTA for online road tax renewals. Alternative, you can proceed to LTA office with the Certificate of Insurance to physically renewal your road tax at LTA office. Our mainline number is +65 6206 5588 (Mon - Fri excluding Public Holiday, 8:30am - 6:00pm).

Can I make amendments to the policy after I’ve purchased the insurance?

Certain amendments (e.g., typo error in name or passport number or change in effective date) can be made before the policy effective date. However, a re-transmission to MOM may be required depending on the type of amendment.

What does the Enhanced MaidAssure Insurance cover?

Enhanced MaidAssure is a comprehensive insurance plan for your Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) that covers the following benefits:- Accidental Death or Permanent Disablement,- Hospital & Surgical Expenses,- Replacement/Re-hiring Expenses,- Wages & Levy Reimbursement,- Repatriation Expenses,- Insurance bond guarantee.For more information, please refer to the policy wording. What happens to my policy if my FDW is returning to her home country and not coming back?

You will need to cancel her work permit to stop your levy and ensure that you keep a copy of her travel ticket or departure itinerary as proof. MOM will proceed to discharge the Security Bond after verifying that your FDW has left and did not re-enter Singapore. Upon discharge, you may proceed to request for policy cancellation.

What are the payment methods available?

We accept payment via Visa/Master Retail Debit or Credit Card online.

If I cancel my policy, will I be entitled to a refund?

Refund Policy (Upon Policy Termination):0 to 30 days in force – 80% refund of premium31 to 90 days in force – 50% refund of premium91 to 180 days in force – 30% refund of premium181 days and beyond – No refund100% of the premium will be refunded if:a) The Policy is cancelled within 90 days from the policy effective date and replaced with a new ECICS Enhanced MaidAssure policy; orb) The In-Principal Approval (IPA) is terminated and the FDW did not enter Singapore.Provided there shall be no refund if: • Any claim has been made or has arisen under the Policy; or • The premium refund is less than $27.25 (inclusive of GST). Please refer to General Conditions point 19 of the policy wording for the full cancellation terms and conditions.

What does your Motorcycle insurance cover?

We have 3 plans to suit your needs. The Comprehensive plan covers loss or damage to your motorcycle, as well as third party liability for bodily injury and property damage.

Do I need Motorcycle insurance in Singapore?

Yes, it is illegal to use a vehicle in Singapore without a valid insurance cover. At a minimum, you must have third-party insurance, which covers injury or damage caused to other people and their property.

Do you cover everyone who use my motorcycle?

All riders need to be named in the policy. Unnamed riders are not covered.

Does your Motorcycle insurance cover me while I am riding in Malaysia or Thailand?

Our policy covers you when you ride your motorcycle in West Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and that part of Thailand within 80.5km of the border between Thailand and West Malaysia.

Does your Motorcycle insurance cover usage of motorcycle for food, parcel or other delivery services?

We do not cover usage for food, parcel or other delivery services.

If I sell my private car, will I get any refund?

If you sell your private car, you may inform us to cancel your policy. You can submit the request at customerservice@ecics.com.sg or call our mainline at +65 6206 5588 (Mon - Fri excluding Public Holiday, 8:30am - 6:00pm). Your Private Car policy refund is calculated according to the cancellation clause in your policy wording subject to no claims made against your policy.

What is a No Claim Discount Protector (NCDP)?

A No Claim Discount Protector protects your NCD on renewal and allows you to make a claim under your policy without affecting your NCD. Without it, your NCD will be reduced should a claim be made under your policy.

What happens if the policy is cancelled?

The moment the policy has lapsed/ceased, the Family NCD benefit will likewise cease. All earned Family-NCD will be forfeited. However, we understand that there could be various reasons why customers may temporarily not own a car therefore do consult us to see how we can help.

Why is it important to make an accident report?

The accident report will provide us with the necessary information should there be any claims made against you for the accident. Failure to report the accident may result in you handling and settling any claims on your own.

Do I need to report to the police for all motor accidents?

You will only need to report to the police under the following circumstances:Damage to Government vehicle or propertyAccident with a foreign registered vehicleA Hit and Run accidentVehicle is stolen or vandalisedVehicle caught fireAccident involving a Pedestrian, Cyclist or Personal Mobility Device (PMD) usersA Malaysian police report is required if the accident happened in Malaysia.
