Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to my policy if my FDW is returning to her home country and not coming back?

You will need to cancel her work permit to stop your levy and ensure that you keep a copy of her travel ticket or departure itinerary as proof. What is a Foreign Worker Bond and why is it required?

A Foreign Worker Bond (commonly known as security bond) is a commitment to reimburse the government if either you or your foreign worker violates or fail to adhere to the terms and conditions of the work permit. This bond typically takes the form of a banker's or insurer's guarantee. For each non-Malaysian Work Permit holder you employ, you are required to purchase a $5,000 security bond.

Is there any coverage for Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Illness)?

Yes, we offer it as an optional add-on that covers outpatient medical expenses for illness that does not require hospitalisation. This benefit can cover up to $60 per visit, helping to ensure your FDW’s health needs are taken care of without added financial strain.

As an employer, is there a way to limit my liability on the $5,000 Security Bond?

Yes, you can. We offer Waiver of Counter Indemnity as an optional add-on. With this, your liability on the $5,000 Security Bond is capped at $250, and the insurer covers the rest if the bond conditions are breached. However, this does not apply to any breach of bond conditions due to your negligence or fault.

Can I make amendments to the policy after I’ve purchased the insurance?

Certain amendments (e.g., typo error in name or passport number or change in effective date) can be made before the policy effective date. However, a re-transmission to MOM may be required depending on the type of amendment.

What is the difference between Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) and Hospital & Surgical Expenses?

• Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Accident) cover medical bills for outpatient treatments that arise solely from Accident.
